Hi Everyone,
Thank you for all your help.
I think Fedex is OK .Fedex will send the package to other express company in China and let me get it.I will check it!About the customs,maybe you need to add a picture let them know what are in the package,if not ,maybe they will open it and left scratches on the plates.

Things are moving! Andy Stockton just contacted me and said he is donating two 4x5 plates. With his, Alan Bekhuis's, and a few I am securing with Mike Robinson and Rob McElroy, we now have five plates for Li! Please, if you have a spare one, let me know and get it my way. In a few weeks I'll get them off to China. And also remember.....Li has never seen a real period daguerreotype, so send along any old headshots you don't need. We all have some.

And to Li! I hope you read this. I will be in touch. Alan B gave me your contact info and mailing address. My daughter spent time in Bejing and he is now in Shanghai....and I found Federal Express (FedEx) is best to send to China? Is that good for you?? We need an address during the day, for you to sign for the package.

Li, you have more friends than you know, both here on C-Dags.com and The Daguerreian Society. You will be surprised how many are following your progress. Your dedication is impressive. Soon I will get a package mailed to you, and all of us can't wait to see what you can do with them.

Hi All! Update on plates for Li. Mike R and Rob M have been in touch with me and I have secured a few 4x5 plates for Li. That is the size he can use, or I assume perhaps smaller too? Alan B wrote me and he is sending Li one of his old plates for re-use, possibly, but at least it will be a good copper base. So if any of you have a spare plate, new or old, that size, please think about sending along to me. I'll give it a few weeks, and then hopefully we can send Li a "Care Package" to remember! Customs will be interesting (??). I think FedEx is safest. ALSO? Li has mentioned here that he has never seen a period daguerreotype! So if any of you have a spare period "headshot", send them along. Headshots mean little to us, but would be wonderous for to him see.
